There have been numerous “crust breaking” type products over the years, but Slurrycare is a management tool designed to reduce costs and enhance the fertilising qualities of slurry made with organic ingredients. The complex of fibre-digesting bacteria and enzymes makes Slurrycare suitable for all slurry stores, pits and slatted buildings, ensuring that the resulting liquid is always ready for spreading by pipeline or tanker. This reduces both labour and diesel costs, and saves time by removing the need for prolonged agitation.
Slurrycare can be introduced at any stage, but the objective should be to inoculate the pit or holding tank before filling. This requires a lower lever of inoculation as the bacteria have time to multiply as the store fills – maintaining liquidity.
Labour, diesel and tractor time (stirring) and environmental costs. Treatment is only 1/3 of the cost of getting a contractor in to agitate the slurry.
Fertilising value and reducing pollution risks, but farmers tell us that it is the liquid nature of the treated slurry which really matters the most.
Here’s what some SLURRYCARE users have told us:
Denis from Cornwall milks 200 cows giving 9000 litres. “Slurrycare has been used on our farm for two years. It has proved itself by originally reducing a thick crust, and now maintaining the slurry in a consistent form with stirring now six weeks apart, with the slurry still even. The farm uses little artificial P & K, and using Slurrycare makes this possible”.
Mr Peters from Devon milks 140 cows yielding an average 11400 litres “Siurrycare has changed the slurry to a uniform consistency from the first load to the last. The store now has no crust at all. The dirty water system is also treated with Slurrycare, and since treatment began it has not needed any maintenance and is working well for the first time”.
THIS IS A VALUE-FOR-MONEY PRODUCT WELL WORTH TRYING
